Education:  Received B.A in Music from San Jose State University, 1989  Studied under Anthony  Cirone of the San  Fransisco Symphony from 1985-1989.

Teaching Experience:  1983-1988    Private drum and percussion instruction.  2000-present Clinician/performer for San Jose Jazz Society outreach program.

Performing Experience:

• 1985-present- performed throughout the Bay Area with various artists, including; Joshua Breakstone, John Stowell, Gary Burton, James Moody, Mark Murphy, Norma Winstone, Larry Coryell, Darol Anger, Regina Carter, Johnny Frigo, Ann Dyer , James Carter, Taylor Eigsti, John Handy, Anton Schwartz, Mark Levine, Peter Apfelbaum, Dmitri Matheny, Cornelius Bumpus, Kurt Elling, and Boz Scaggs.
• 1992-1994 Drum set (principal) and percussionist with San Jose Civic Light Opera.
• 1990-present performed at WOMAD,  Montreaux Jazz Festival, North Sea Jazz Festival,  Playboy Jazz Festival, San Francisco Jazz Festival, Monterey Jazz Festival, Seattle’s Bumpershoot Jazz Festival, New York What is Jazz Festival, San Jose Jazz Festival, and Brazil’s Chivas Jazz Festival.
• 1988 Toured Canada with Ashwin Batish.
• 1998, 2001 toured U.S. and Brazil with Ann Dyer.
• 1999 Toured U.S. with Michael Brook/ Djivan Gasparyan.
• 2003 Toured Japan, Europe, U.S., and Australia with Boz Scaggs
